During Microsoft's Xbox 360 media briefing at E3 2008 Monday, Harmonix CEO Alex Rigopulos came on stage to promote Rock Band and unveiled the game's monster track list, which will include AC/DC and new music from Guns 'N Roses.

Rigopulos announced that all Rock Band 1 songs will be "forward compatible" with the upcoming Rock Band 2, which is scheduled to arrive on the Xbox 360 this September (versions for the PlayStation 2 and 3 version and the Wii will launch at a later date). The big news for Rock Band 2's track list is the inclusion of AC/DC, which makes its first appearance on any video game system with the classic anthem "Let There Be Rock." Also, the new Guns'N Roses single "Shackler's Revenge" from the long-awaited album "Chinese Democracy." Another notable song is "Tangled Up In Blue," which marks Bob Dylan's first music game appearance. Rock Band 2 comes with more than 80 on-disc tracks, and Harmonix announced that an additional 20 bonus tracks will be available for download when the game launches in September.
